Kelly Clarkson, shortly following the completion of the 1st season of American Idol, she was accused of working with a record company.
American Idol's rules stated that a contestant (including Kelly Clarkson)was not allowed to compete on the program if they had been linked to a record company.
However, Kelly Clarkson was cleared of all allegations, as she had only had a contract in order to conduct demonstration work.

Kelly Clarkson - Prefer Music than Scholarships
Upon high school graduation, Kelly Clarkson was offered full scholarships to The University of Texas at Austin, University of North Texas, and Berklee.
But Kelly Clarkson decided against college b/cuz Clarkson had "already written so much music and wanted to try on [Clarkson] own. And [Clarkson] figured you're never too old to go to college."
